Well, the half marathon was one of the most brutal things I've ever done. But I'm glad I did it. That's officially the longest I've ever run without walking (with the exception of the brief water breaks) My feet will probably hurt for a while, my legs will need some serious ice and ibuprofen, but I feel really good having completed it. To quote Ryan Cluff, a good friend of mine and an avid runner, "Running is an odd combination of Endorphins, pain, and accomplishment"
We can rest assured that we have great paced teammates. I did it at a waddly 11-minute mile, but Ben, Steve, and Brian? did it in blazing speeds.

I'm still running!
I don't know about all of you but I'm still running!! I'm looking for a few good men who want to apply for the ST. George marathon. Also, kip and I were talking about doing the Bryce canyon Half Marathon and maybe a couple of the Provo River Trail runs. Anyway, keep putting one foot in front of the other!!!

A huge favor...
Hey Team,
I know we are going to be doing our own fundraising soon...but my wife and I are coming up short for the half marathon. Since the deadline is coming up soon, I thought I'd ask you guys either for
1. any contribution you could possibly make, no matter how big or small,
or 2. if you can't make a $ contribution...do you have any ideas on how we can raise the last few Benjamins?
The cause we are fund raising for is the Leukemia and Lymphoma society...so it's a good cause to feel good about...

Thanks guys...

Weird weight loss...
I've been weighing right around 193 lbs. for the last three weeks now and it's been frustrating (maybe it's because I was on a Mt. Dew binge for a couple of weeks straight). Then, in the last four days I've constantly dropped weight and I just hit the 190 lbs. mark for the first time in over 3 years. Thanks Ragnar!!!! I actually think that playing basketball has helped shed the pounds. I play for 1 1/2 hours straight 3 days a week so I've got to be getting in alot more than the scheduled 5-miler on MWF. I've also noticed my speed pick up during my runs. I ran the 7-miler this morning and blazed through it pretty well.
Running in this cold weather still blows and I'm still bent about the time change!!!
