PERSONAL RECORD!

Jake and I went to the gym today and cranked out 7 miles. That is a mile farther than any distance I've ever run non-stop... so you could say I'm stoked out of my mind right now! My right knee is aching, I'm limping a little, but nothing some ice and ibuprofen can't fix...

I'm really loving this training program. Saturday is the long run, and 7 miles was quite intimidating, but it was good to have the warm-up runs leading up to it. I maintained a 10 min mile the whole time, which should come down once I drop some poundage.

How is everyone else doing???

It was a great run. I tried eating and drinking while keeping my pace up. (While we watched Bourne Ultimatum) I ran the 7 miles in 74 mins around a 185 heart rate on the tread mill...is that accurate?

Felt great. Had a protein shake when I got home with fruit in it and then sat in the tub with cold water for about 15-20 mins.

My ankles are aching more than they should I think so I will look for some new shoes next week.

That is the longest leg I will run and I have already done it...feels good.
